(Hong Kong, 28 February 2017) The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants is going to hold a forum on 10 March 2017 (Friday) at 6 p.m. at the Institute, 27/F Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai. The forum aims to provide a platform for members including Election Committee members in accountancy subsector to exchange views with the CE candidates, and hear how they could support Hong Kong and the profession's developments in the next five years.

Invitations have been extended to all declared candidates to stand for the CE Election. Subject to their agreement on our proposed format, Institute members would have the opportunity to raise questions to candidates on matters relating to the profession, social and economic, political, and other general issues of Hong Kong.

Joseph Tse Chi Fung, the veteran current affairs programme anchorman, will be the moderator. The forum will be conducted in Cantonese with English simultaneous interpretation.

Media is welcome to attend and report the forum. Q&A session during the forum will be reserved for members only, while a separate Q&A session will be arranged for media after the forum subject to the agreement of the attending candidates.

The accounting profession, with 30 seats in the Election Committee, is one of the most active groups in engaging with the candidates running in the election. The Institute encourages its members to participate in public and community affairs.

To have a meaningful forum, please note that it will only proceed when at least two candidates have accepted our invitation.

 

 

香港會計師公會將舉行行政長官選舉論壇

(香港，二零一七年二月廿八日) 香港會計師公會將於二零一七年三月十日（星期五）下午六時，假座灣仔皇后大道東 213 號胡忠大廈 27 樓的公會會址，舉行選舉論壇，讓會員（包括會計界別選舉委員會代表）與行政長官候選人交流意見，了解他們如何在未來五年支援香港以及業界的發展。

公會已致函邀請所有公開宣布參選的候選人出席選舉論壇。取決於出席候選人的意見，公會會員可能有機會就有關業界、社會經濟、政治以及香港其他事務的問題，向各候選人提問。

我們邀請到資深時事節目主持人謝志峰擔任是次論壇的主持人。論壇會以廣東話進行，並設有英語即時傳譯。

公會歡迎各大傳媒出席論壇，並作出報導，論壇期間的問答環節只限公會會員參與。至於論壇後會否安排傳媒問答環節，有待各出席候選人自行決定。

擁有三十名選委會代表的會計界，是其中一個最積極與特首候選人接觸的專業界別。公會一向鼓勵會員積極參與公共及社會事務。

為了展開一個有意義的論壇，需至少有兩名候選人應邀出席，論壇才會如期舉行。
